Giving Tuesday

Today is Giving Tuesday. In honor of that, we have a special message from one of our collaborators, and woman super producer, MILCK to give us a little message about the season of giving:

In December We Remember…the thousands of lives lost to systemic racism… those who have lost their beloved… the activists that have come before us… those that continue to fight for racial justice… to say their names… that #Blacklivesmatter.

In the month of December, any donation made to the Somebody’s Beloved Fund (link), and any proceeds raised through the Somebody’s Beloved charity merch (link), will be MATCHED up to $50,000. Our giving campaign will kick off on December 1st, GivingTuesday—a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world. If you are able, a contribution to the Somebody’s Beloved Fund in any amount will help us reach our goal and directly support our seven Beloved Beneficiaries 

Throughout the month I will be offering give backs, like new cover videos, new musitations, and other forms of art as a way of saying thank you for anything you can contribute to this campaign. I will also be going live with representatives from each beneficiary organization, so you can learn more about them. It’s going to be a month of exploration, learning, giving, receiving, and a whole lotta love.

In times of stress, I find that my anxiety eases as I look outward to focus on helping those who are in more need than I am. I don’t know about you, but this year has been a year of heightened tension for myself, so simply planning this campaign is already giving me joy. I know there will be much more joy to come this month, as I believe we will reach our goal of raising 50k, which then doubles to 100K, thanks to our donor match.
