Behind the Beat is a Gender Amplified original podcast highlighting the work of female and non-binary music producers.
We created a Gender Amplified podcast because we believe in the power of telling the stories of women and non-binary music producers of all backgrounds, identities, and sonic styles. Host and producer of Behind the Beat, Khaya, envisioned this project because she wants to raise awareness that female and non-binary music producers exist and they are behind some of the most creative music being put out there today. Behind the Beat will give its listeners a glimpse into the creative processes and lives of the producers spotlighted.
